Polar Plunge is Coming April 2

As you all know the Polar Plunge has been scheduled for April 2nd this year in Gloucester, however you can plunge when and where you choose. All Rotarians and their sponsors are donating directly to Polio Plus through the donate button in MyRotary or through your club’s Foundation Chair. This list includes all donations made to PolioPlus from July 1 as of January 7. Year to date we have raised $24,772 of our $100,000 goal.

Mid-Year Leadership & Pre-PETS

Because the Coronavirus and its variants have again become more active, I have moved the next two district events back to Zoom.

First is the Mid-Year Leadership and Pre-PETS meeting scheduled for January 27^th. This is for all Presidents, Presidents-Elect and future Presidents for the following two years. This meeting is now open for registration at https://rotary7930.org/event/mid-year-leadership-meeting-1/. The agenda is for a welcoming statement and then to breakout rooms with your respective Governor, DGE, DGN or DGND. Each room will have their own agenda with the DGE staying in the main room to have his Pre-Pets presentation with the Presidents-elect.

The second half of the Pre-PETS presentation for the Presidents-Elect is scheduled for February 12 from 3:00 to 4:30pm. Registration is open for this event at https://rotary7930.org/event/pre-pets-part-2/.

District Managed Grant Supporting Campers

Belle Isle Rotary Club has submitted a District Managed Grant to support campers from East Boston to Camp Rotary.

For those Clubs without Interact Clubs (or even for Clubs with Interacts), please consider supporting the District Managed Grant from Belle Isle Rotary Club. It will support 10 students from the Salesian Boys & Girls Club in East Boston to go to Camp Rotary for a week this summer. This experience will make a lasting impact on these children, who otherwise will never experience summer camp. It will also support Camp Rotary as it enters its 100th year.

Donations to support this can be sent to Belle Isle Rotary c/o Tom Hankard, 14 Edgehill Road, Winthrop, MA 02152. Please add Camp Rotary to the memo line.

Share Your Club's Stories

Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future that you would like to share with your fellow District 7930 Rotarians?

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition. If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
