Arlington Rotary honored member Greg Anderson’s over 50 years of service with a surprise celebration at the Knights of Columbus Hall on February 2nd. Greg, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, has been a dedicated member since 1974.In addition, he is a past Club president and currently serves as Club Secretary.
A respected leader, Greg has played key roles in fostering community spirit, organizing fundraisers, and supporting outreach programs. His contributions were recognized at the event by District Governor Tom Hankard, DG-Elect Terry Rezendes Curran and State Representative Sean Garballey, who presented him with a State House proclamation (pictured here).
President Bill Hayner presented Greg with an engraved clock, a reminder of the time and effort he has invested in fostering community spirit and service. Additionally, Greg’s wife, Nola, was presented a beautiful bouquet, acknowledging her unwavering support and presence at various Club projects. Nola’s role in Greg’s journey underscores the importance of family and support systems in sustaining long-term service commitments. Bost Greg and Nola are Paul Harris Fellows. The celebration featured a catered meal from D’Agostinos and a special cupcake cake.
Many in attendance shared their reflections on Greg’s contributions and the qualities that make him an exemplary Rotarian. Greg’s legacy continues to inspire future Rotarians, emphasizing the power of service, leadership, and commitment to the greater good. His continued involvement and leadership promise to bring new initiatives and projects that will benefit the community. Greg’s story is a beacon of inspiration, reminding us all of the difference one person can make through unwavering commitment and a heart for service.
