Two more new members from the Beverly Rotary Club took advantage of the grant offered by our club to do a project in the community on August 17. Matthew Blanchard and Connor Mooney organized an event to clean up trash floating in our ocean and washed up on surrounding beaches.The event took place at Obear Park in Beverly. About twenty people attended and had fun while cleaning up our community waters! Paddleboards and trash bags were provided, but some people brought their own paddleboards. They collected much more trash than they were anticipating. A few things they found in the ocean/surrounding beaches were a lamp, plastic chair, and sink.
