Beverly Rotary is the largest club in District 7930 and is looking to celebrate its 100th anniversary this year on February 24th.. The members are planning meaningful events for each month for a full year to commemorate this auspicious event.

Each month we will highlight a specific decade in our 100-year history. It should be wonderful as we solidify our plans. We are looking at a scavenger hunt, lights in the sky and many more events, culminating with a birthday party.

This year we have been raising funds to help those affected by the pandemic and COVID-19.  We are helping with bills like rent, food, utilities, clothing and medicines.  This is only one way we are helping the greater Beverly Community.  Every day, our 100-plus
members seek to live up to the Rotary ideal of "Service above Self."  And we do it in many different ways. We help give people hot meals in Beverly and clean water in Kenya.  We help our neighbors find a warm, safe place to stay, be it for a night or for a lifetime.  We donate blood to the Red Cross and collect food for Beverly Bootstraps.  We ring the bell for the Salvation Army and give out tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships for local high school seniors.  We have fun, too.  You'll see us throwing gala fundraisers with our community partners at the Cabot Theater, helping kids paint their own T-shirts at Beverly Arts Fest and scooping free ice cream for senior citizens at Beverly Homecoming.  Granted these events have taken a new look this year because of the pandemic, but we are still there to support.

So we will be posting our special events during the months ahead and we hope other clubs can join in the fun!
