Bowling Over Barriers with Boston Rotaract!

 

Come eat pizza and go bowling for a good cause on Tuesday, October 29, at Flatbread Company at Sacco’s Bowl Haven in Somerville! All proceeds will go to funding scholarships for Found in Translation, an organization that trains low-income, multilingual women to become medical interpreters. The cost to fund one Language Access Fellow is $1,000 -- help us fund TWO fellows this year!

Found in Translation helps multilingual women overcome homelessness and poverty by capitalizing on their language skills to become professional medical interpreters, a career with 42.2% job growth predicted by 2020 and $45,430 median annual wage.

 

Through Found in Translation's workforce development program, women earn a Medical Interpreting Certificate, develop job skills and financial literacy, and receive job placement assistance upon completing the training.
