The Annual World Peace and Understanding Event on February 3 featured two movies this year. The evening started with the Premiere of a documentary, by Sarah Furie, a member of Boston Rotaract, titled “The Talk With My Black Sons.”  This was followed by a lively question-and-answer session with the director. If you missed the event, you can watch the documentary here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/JuG2CusHaJo

The second movie was a compilation about the fruits of our Interact MicroFinance grant through the eyes of the Interactors and other young adults; building compassion and understanding around the world and within the students themselves. Our district has provided ten Interact Clubs and other youth organizations with $500 in seed funds each to begin doing Microloans on the Kiva platform. Four of the clubs recorded short video segments of the young adults choosing a microloan to support and explaining why they picked that particular project.
