The Burlington Breakfast Rotary is taking Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta’s message “Each One, Bring One” to heart. In just 4 months, we have added 4 new members.
Sometimes it is just a matter of being present at an event. We had an opportunity to have a table promoting the Burlington Breakfast Rotary and what we are all about at both the “Celebrate Burlington” event and the “Diwali Festival” on the Burlington Common. We had a poster and flyers with our recent projects and our Banner prominently displayed. We also had a Cornhole game for the children at Celebrate Burlington. Members took different shifts to take charge of the table and share with interested persons how our club “enriches Burlington.” From these two events, we attracted 3 new members.
Recently, new neighbors moved into our area. As we spoke to them during the past few months, my husband and I mentioned that we are Rotarians. They told us that they used to be Rotarians. We invited them to a complimentary breakfast at one of our meetings and to learn about our Club. Next week, our neighbor is being inducted into our “Small but Mighty”
