June was a special month for Burlington Rotary Club as we gathered for one of our most meaningful events of the year — our annual Scholarship Dinner. Held in celebration of local achievement and service, the evening recognized outstanding high school seniors, welcomed new Interact leadership, and honored two of our own for their extraordinary dedication.

The night began with the presentation of scholarships to several exceptional graduating seniors, whose academic accomplishments and commitment to community service truly embody Rotary's values. We were proud to support these future leaders as they prepare to begin their college journeys.

A highlight of the evening was the induction of Afsa Khalifa as the new president of our Interact Club. Afsa has already shown remarkable leadership and passion for service, and we are excited to support her as she leads the next generation of Rotarians.

The celebration didn’t end there. We honored our Club President Cheryl Stanton with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition in appreciation of her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to Rotary throughout the past year. Cheryl’s vision and energy have helped our club thrive and continue to make a difference.

We also proudly named Kevin Carnell as our Rotarian of the Year. Kevin’s dedication, humility, and constant behind-the-scenes support have been instrumental to the success of many club projects and initiatives. His recognition is richly deserved.

It was a busy evening — one filled with inspiration, pride, and the joy of shared service. Events like these remind us why we do what we do and reinvigorate our commitment to Service Above Self.
