Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship

This month’s meeting will feature guest speaker Fred Mullins, who works for VIAS Imports, a wine importer; and wine varietals from the Piemonte (Piedmont), Italy region.
For wines, ask your purveyor for:
  • White: Cortese grape (Gavi wine)
    Food Pairing Suggestions: Antipasto, Ardi Gasna (French Ewes Cheese), Arnéguy (French Ewes Cheese), Asian Cuisine (Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai dishes), barbecued White Meat.
  • Red: Nebbiolo grape (Barolo, Barbaresco, or Langhe Nebbiolo wines)
    Food pairing suggestions: Beef Tenderloin, Ribeye Steak (or Prime Rib), Roast Turkey, Pork Sausage, Braised Duck, Roasted Game Hen, Braised Pork shank, Prosciutto, and cheese: Feta Cheese, Soft Triple-Cream Cow’s Cheese, Washed-Rind Cheeses
Purchase one of each wine varietal and consider choosing a wine from these varietals that you have never tried.

We will be comparing tasting notes and hearing about the characteristics of each grape variety. And of course we will want you all to share what you have brought to the tasting.

Be sure to invite your friends and family. Membership in Fellowships are open to both Rotarians and Non-Rotarians.
