Danvers Rotary is stepping forward again for the greater good as they have spent weeks with much-needed trimming and cleanup of the traffic island at the corner of Poplar and Maple in Danvers.

This landscaping task is headed by Danvers Rotarians, Jim Jezowski, President of AcuLab Measurement Standards, Inc, Beverly and Rob Della Croce, AVP at Metro Credit Union, Chelsea. Together, they have a combined rotary membership in Danvers for almost 2 decades.

“We both passed by this island every day and decided to take on the cleanup project to improve the appearance of the intersection”, says Jezowski.

“We’re happy to be involved in this clean-up project because the area had become unattractive and an obstruction for drivers due to all of the overgrown weeds,” adds Della Croce.

This project benefits many who live in the neighborhood, as the island is progressively looking more tended to and aesthetic, adding to Danvers residential allure. Although the landscaping tasks are nearing completion, the key to this project will be future upkeep and maintenance.
