You are invited to the District Engagement Party!
Come help build better clubs on Thursday, February 15th!

Right on the heels of our tremendously successful Welcome Party for new Rotarians, it seems appropriate to continue to build on the excitement and vibrancy with all our members. This Thursday, February 15th, there will be an opportunity for you to network with other members and the district leadership and learn about some of the great ideas clubs are doing that is truly Making a Difference.

We have arranged the following short presentations:

  1. Scott Lush of the Rotary Club of Downtown Boston will be sharing his approach to recruiting powerful speakers that attract members and non-members alike, how he markets these as events and the results that their club has achieved in membership development as a result. By the way, they are up 7 members!
  2. Cushing Titcomb of the Rotary Club of Ipswich will share their success with their Satellite Club, how it has generated a deeper connection to current members that enjoy the evening format, attracted service members. He will also provide a glimpse into their 25 Days of Giving during the holidays and how that project engaged a high percentage of members. Would you believe that Ipswich is up 6 members so far this year!
  3. Al Ruthazer of the Rotary Club of Andover will provide an overview of how their Andover Cares initiative has received tremendous response from their community in their effort to Make a Difference in the opioid crisis. The side benefits of tackling such a big issue is the public perception of their club, the ability to engage community leaders, and thus attract new members and allies in service. You guessed it, they have added 5 new members.
  4. The Rotary Club of Manchester-Essex will display the visuals the club created through a district public image mini-grant based on the People of Action Campaign. These were used in a social media campaign and as posters around town promoting the great work that Rotary does locally and internationally. Can you believe that they have added a remarkable 14 new members already this year?
These are just a few of the presentations that will be made on Thursday and in the coming months. It would be fantastic if every club could send one representative to the meeting. I promise that it will be worth your time. One idea might build momentum that will add new members, new ideas, new challenges and increased impact.

Do you have an idea to share that is reinventing Rotary in your community? Call or email me and we will get you a time slot at an upcoming meeting.
