Rotary is hosting a 60-minute webinar called Ethical Storytelling on Wednesday, 9 October.
Stories are one of the most powerful tools we possess to talk about the work we do in Rotary. They can be used to raise money for a project, celebrate member achievements, and demonstrate the way we are making a difference around the world. But how do we make sure the stories we tell show the whole picture, and don’t inadvertently cause harm by reinforcing bias, stereotypes, or leaving out details that are important to the subject of our story? Using the principles of ethical storytelling, we can begin to understand how to make sure our stories are told with empathy and respect.
This webinar will feature experts from around the world who will help us identify the characteristics of ethical storytelling, consider the importance of ethical storytelling for Rotary, and brainstorm ideas for incorporating these principles into our communications. Register here.
