Kristin Kelleher, the District 7930 and Ipswich Rotary Club sponsored Rotary Global Grant Scholar for 2016 – 2017, was inducted into the Boston Evening Downtown Rotary Club by President Helene Vincent and President-elect Jennifer Smith at the May 1st Boston Evening Rotary meeting. The guest speaker for the meeting was Former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis.

Kristin received her Master’s Degree in Environment, Politics and Globalization from Kings College, London, England, and is now employed by the Climate Action Business Association in Boston as their new Program Director, working with companies to help them become more sustainable and socially responsible.
The accompanying photo shows Kristin with PDG Ingrid Brown, past Global Scholars (Outbound) Chair and Boston Evening AG David Hart, and Ipswich Rotarian Bob Gravino. Ingrid commented at the ceremony that Kristin is the first District 7930 Global Grant Scholar that she recalls becoming a member of our District. Ingrid was the District Governor in 2009 – 2010 when Boston Evening Downtown was chartered on March 18, 2010. Two additional members were inducted into the Club at the May 1st meeting, which brings enrollment of Boston Evening to 38 members and makes it one of the fastest growing clubs in our District.
