A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Haiti on Saturday, August 14, 2021, causing widespread destruction in the Caribbean country, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The death toll has risen to more than 2,000 as search and rescue teams are racing to find survivors in collapsed buildings and rubble. At least 6,000 are injured and many more are still missing.
 
Many Rotarians have asked how they can help, and Rotary International is coordinating global relief efforts through Rotary District 7020, which includes Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, St. Barth, St Maarten, St Martin, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, US Virgin Islands, and Haiti. District 7020 - in cooperation with the Disaster Network of Assistance Rotarian Action Group - has set up the Haiti Earthquake Disaster Recover Fund and is asking for donations.
