From June 21–25, 2025, Calgary, Canada, transformed into a global hub of service, innovation, and connection as it hosted the Rotary International Convention. With over 15,000 Rotary memberss from more than 120 countries, the event marked Rotary’s largest in-person gathering since the pandemic—bringing together changemakers to celebrate humanitarian achievements and chart a course for future impact.

Themed “Magic All Around,” the Convention featured a powerhouse lineup of speakers, including Academy Award-winner Geena Davis, Bill Gates, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman, and WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Their messages of equity, resilience, and global cooperation resonated deeply with attendees.

Beyond plenary sessions and breakout workshops, Calgary came alive with music, art, and interactive experiences. The “Road to Rotary” initiative filled downtown with pop-up performances and photo-friendly installations, while events like the Grandstand Spectacular and Western Ranch Showcase celebrated Indigenous culture and Alberta’s cowboy heritage.

As Rotary continues to evolve and attract younger members, the Calgary convention served as a powerful reminder of the organization’s enduring mission: uniting people to create lasting change. With renewed energy and global camaraderie, attendees left inspired to lead with purpose in their communities and beyond.
