On June 14, 2021, the Town of Ipswich dedicated a field of 100 flags to honor heroes. A stunning display of large flags on ten foot poles will grace one of the main gateways of our town, the beautiful and historic South Green, until July 10.

Ipswich-Rowley Rotary developed this field of honor so that citizens could remember the heroes in our lives. The field recognizes anyone who made a difference in their life, such as a first-responder, medical professional, teacher, essential worker or someone who served in the military. It is an especially poignant year to begin this annual project to honor heroes given the COVID pandemic.

The flags were dedicated during a special ceremony on Flag Day, June 14.
