The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor is giving $250 gift certificates to qualified applicants who lost their jobs due to Covid-19. The certificates are meant to help Marblehead residents purchase food and other basic necessities from town grocers. “Our goal is help individuals who have been laid off from ‘non-essential’ positions who may have been receiving an hourly wage and/or surviving on tips,” said club President Kathleen Murphy. “They are financially the most at risk group, struggling to pay for food and essentials.”The Marblehead Harbor has so far raised $6,700 and continues to fundraise to provide as much assistance as possible.
