Join Fellow Rotarians on May 21 on the Ipswich River for a Day of Service.  Two Volunteer service opportunities are available:

1. 9am to 12pm Spring 2022 Rotary Club Ipswich River Landings Work Day:  approximate teams of 4 people per site.  The goal of this project will be to support our River Warden program by helping to prepare canoe/kayak landings on the Ipswich River for the paddling season via picking up trash, pruning and cutting back vegetation, and checking the condition of kiosks and signage at the following landings:

a. Woburn St., Wilmington and Mill St., Reading;
b. Central St. landing and shopping Center, North Reading;
c. Rowley Bridge Rd., Salem Rd., High St. and Willowdale landings, Topsfield;

2. 10am to 1 pm Armed Forces Day Picnic at Riverbend in Ipswich (approximately 15 volunteers):  Volunteers will help with initial set up for the Armed Forces Day Picnic at Riverbend in Ipswich, direct the veteran visitors to trails and dock, and help visitors get in and out of kayaks and canoes from our dock.  Experienced paddlers may also volunteer co-leading a guided paddle.  Volunteers are strongly encouraged to engage with the veteran’s and share your local experience & knowledge.

Registration required and will go out later this week.

You may also want to have your club arrange your own service project that day.  Let DG Terry know your plans!
