In keeping with a tradition, set as a goal by Marine Veteran and Rotary District 7930 Past District Governor, Dave Manzi, the Rotary Club of Medford makes donations to two Veterans Causes.

Medford Rotarians voted to donate to the "Run to Home Base"  This is the 8th annual run at Fenway to raise money in support of Veterans and their Families.  Held Saturday, July 15th at Fenway Park in front of thousands of Vietnam Veterans at one of the first and largest ceremonies to honor returning Vietnam Veterans in the Boston Area.  Our donation was made to support a participant in the run.
The Medford Club also donated to The 2nd Lt. 'TJ' McGrath Charitable Foundation The foundation was created in memory of 'TJ' McGrath who was killed in an accident at the age of 23 in Nov. 1996 in Fort Hood, Texas. A West Point graduate, he was a commission officer in the US Army where he was Airborne, Air Assault and Ranger qualified.  According to his brother Dan, by creating this charity and holding an annual golf tournament, we raise money for local Veterans organizations, it helps us deal with our grief and keep TJs memory alive.  The McGrath family is determined to assist the soldiers and their families when they need a helping hand.
