Impressions of the Rotary International Convention in Melbourne from Yoland Li, President of Cambridge Rotary.

It’s my first time attending the Rotary International Convention. I highly recommend Rotarians to join the next year’s convention in Singapore.  I signed up already.

Here are some of the highlights and photos from Melbourne.

1) The House of Friendship provided all the details about Rotary projects and Fellowship details. They even had a Shelter Box.

2) I joined the general sessions every day.  I really enjoyed the End Polio Project update and the partnership with Global Citizen.

3) I liked the breakouts session, e.g., very detailed presentation about Global Grant applications and Rotaract journey.  I gained a lot of Rotary knowledge.

4) It was wonderful meeting Rotary Presidents and District Governors from around the world and learning about the service projects, initiatives and challenges.

5) I loved sightseeing and taking in the culture of Australia. Demetri and I went to Melbourne Cup Night at Flemington.
