Currently our District 7930 weekly newsletter is called the eBulletin. DG Tom would like to re-name it to something more memorable. Here are some suggestions we have had so far:
Rotary 7930 Connect; The Rotary 7930 Pulse; Service Spotlight; the Compass; District Dispatch; Rotary 7930 Roundup; the 7930 Voice; The Beacon; Rotary 7930 Horizons; the Chronicle; the Chowda; Wicked Good News; Service with a Side of Lobstah; Round the Hub; Pahk the News Heah; Rotary 7930 Review; and Rotary 7930 Family Diary.
Trademark consideration. An important consideration is that our newsletter name must comply with Rotary trademark and branding requirements. If using “Rotary” in the title, we must also include our district number. When used by itself, the word "Rotary" normally refers to the entire organization, Rotary International. Using "Rotary" without identifying our district implies that Rotary International is producing the newsletter. All submissions considered will have to be in line with Rotary International trademark standards.
For more info about these standards, we recommend referring to the Brand Center and taking the 15-minute course in Learning Center called Using Rotary's Trademarks course, which explains Rotary's trademarks, wordmarks, and their translations and what clubs and districts should do. Log in with your rotary.org credentials.
The District Public Image Committee would love to hear your suggestions. Please submit as many as your creativity dictates to PI Committee Chair David Deutsch. After we receive more suggestions, we plan on having an online poll in the future.
