Wine Fellowship

Napa Valley, The Region and the Grapes
Guest Speaker: Zahava Kraicer, Frank Family Vineyards, Calistoga, CA

For this Wine Fellowship we have a special guest, Zahava Kraicer, Tasting Room Manager at Frank Family Vineyards.

Zahava will be talking to us about Napa Valley as a region.  We will talk about soil, climate, barrels, wine labeling and the grape varietals that grow in the valley.  You may download a map of the Napa Valley, which we will be referring to throughout the talk.

As far as purchasing wines, the most popular grapes in Napa Valley are Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc. Please choose one red and one white with "Napa Valley" on the front of the label.  If you choose a Pinot Noir or Chardonnay the label can say "Napa Valley" and/or "Carneros".  The best thing to pair with these wines would be a charcuterie plate with a few different cheeses, hard and soft, and some of your favorite meats.

We suggest you look for Frank Family wines which are available at Total Wines and More.If you wish to order directly from the winery, (recommend sharing a case with others to defray the overnight shipping costs and you will love the wines) contact Zahava at zkraicer@frankfamilyvineyards.com. Orders of 6 or more will receive a 10% discount and 12 or more a 20% discount.  This discount only applies to our Napa Valley Wines.
