The Rotary Club of Winchester had a busy and productive meeting on August 16th with the induction of a new member, the presentation of a Paul Harris Society Chevron to a club member, and a talk on an on-going global grant. Christian Neckermann was inducted as a Rotarian by Club President Rich Mucci, assisted by Christian’s sponsor and Immediate Past President Steve Mix. Long time Rotarian Dick Sampson was presented with a PHS Chevron, acknowledging his many years of support for The Rotary Foundation. Brendan Pulsifer, a junior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, related his two years of work as a summer student intern working with Bowdoin College graduate Lonnie Hackett (Class of 2014) and Healthy Kids/Brighter Future in Lusaka, Zambia. Brendan is a resident of Winchester and is an alumnus of Winchester Community Music School where he studied piano for many years. Winchester Rotarian Laurie Russell is the Executive Director of the school and has known Brendan and his family since he was a young boy.No Summer Break for Winchester Rotarians
