The North Reading Rotary Club is proud to announce a new project with a mission of making this an annual or semi-annual event.  Volunteers of all ages are invited to come together for a common purpose of taking responsibility for our town in order to help create a clean, green, litter-free place to live, work and play!  While North Reading is a beautiful town, when you start looking for litter, you will see it everywhere – in neighborhoods, parking lots, sidewalks, buried in the woods and along the Ipswich River. From soda bottles to pizza boxes, beer cans and alcohol containers, amazon boxes and bubble wrap, plastic bags and old masks, there is an abundance of trash in our natural habitat.

The Fall Clean Up Party will take place December 4th and 5th.  Residents, families and local businesses and workers are invited to participate on either or both days.  You are welcome to use your own trash bags and gloves but they will also be available for free pick-up from participating small businesses.  Once your trash bags are full, we invite you to take a picture of your clean up accomplishments and post them to our Facebook event on the North Reading Rotary Club Facebook page.  Individuals who submit photos to the page will be entered to win raffle prizes.  The last step of the process is to drop off your trash bags at any one of our three DPW Drop Off Sites, which include the gazebo at the North Reading Common, the gazebo at Ipswich River Park, and Clarke Park.
