Saturday, April 2, Gloucester Rotary put on a hugely successful Polar Plunge.  Approximately 200 Rotarians from the District's 45 clubs plunged into the water at Long Beach in Gloucester.  In addition to the Plungers were many supporters, on lookers and cheerleaders.  The sun was out, but the water and air temperatures were both approximately a chilly 40 degrees.

Gloucester Rotary assembled a command center at the Cape Ann Motor Inn.  Gloucester President Tracy Arabian addressed the crowd right before the 11 am plunging time to emphasize that all donations made will be double matched by the Gates Foundation to End Polio.

The District goal is $100,000.00.  As of Plunge time, over $40,000.00 had been raised.  Donations will continue to be collected at this link.  Please designate "Polio Fund."
