The Rotary Club of Reading presented a check on June 13th for $3,150 to District 7930’s Global Grant for Healthy Kids/Brighter Future in Zambia. The grant supports a school-based healthcare system for vulnerable children in Zambia’s capital city of Lusaka. Reading Rotarians Greg Ryan and Mike Collins are pictured presenting the check to Ipswich Rotary Club President Cushing Titcomb and Bob Gravino. The grant trains teachers as community health workers and connects children to the free and available Zambian national health care system, so that basic medical care and health education are more effectively and efficiently provided. Clubs and individuals interested in supporting this grant should contact Bob Gravino at rcgravino@aol.com.
