Reading Rotary presented longtime Reading Rotary member Dick Haggerty with a Paul Harris Fellow Recognition at its May 12 meeting held at Austin Prep. Dick was designated to receive this recognition as a special expression of appreciation from Reading Rotary. Dick joined Rotary in 1981. He is a Past President of the club and has been a steady and involved member. He has been dedicated to the service ideals of Rotary for well over 40 years. In addition, Dick’s father, grandfather and brother were all longtime Rotary members. Dick is a lifelong newspaperman and co-owner of the Daily Times Chronicle. Dick has been recognized by EMARC for his service to developmentally delayed adults and has been a dedicated volunteer in his native Woburn including in youth sports and the city's historic district.
