Reading is experiencing trash collection woes, with its trash contractor missing many pick-ups since the beginning of October. Some residents had missed pick-ups for 2 or 3 weeks. The Town has had to scramble to try and fix the bad situation. Town workers have stepped in to collect trash. They have been working overtime to pick up what has been missed by the contractor.Representing Reading Rotary, Jeanne Borawski and John Douglass delivered refreshments to the DPW in appreciation for all their extra effort and work. Jeanne was interviewed by WBZ TV.
