How do you spend your Friday nights this fall?  Reading Rotarians are busy running the Snack Shack for Friday night high school football games at Reading Memorial High School.  Since 2015, Reading Rotary has run the Shack, selling burgers, hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, popcorn, candy and hot and cold drinks to the crowd.

Reading High's Shack Shack had been operated by the Reading Boosters Club but as their numbers dwindled, the Town of Reading asked Rotary to take on its operation.  The Shack provides opportunities as both a public service and a fundraiser.  Running the Shack Shack at such crowded sporting events also allows Rotary to publicize Rotary’s mission to the Town folk.  Rotary has signage and informational literature displayed at each Snack Shack game.

Reading Rotary’s Snack Shack will be open again this Thanksgiving morning for the traditional Reading-Stoneham game.  Pictured here are Co-President John Douglas and Richie Lombardo on the grill at a recent game.
