Reading Rotary held a New Member Open House on January 15 and inducted three new members: Jeanne Borawski, Andrea Evans Zoia and Gabe Moraga.

Membership Chair Lisa Gibbs and a team including, John Douglass, Brian Tobin and Mike Collins, organized a very successful Open House at RCTV (Reading Community Television). The Membership Committee sent out invitations to businesses and other prospects in town and encouraged members to bring at least one guest as a potential member. They also passed out some Rotary swag, a new Club brochure and applications to all visitors. We had 11 additional potential new members attend and it was a great time.

As part of the Open House, new members Jeanne, Andrea and Gabe were inducted by Vice President John Douglass.
Jeanne serves on the School Committee, but will be stepping down from that elected position in March at the end of her second term. Jeanne is very involved in community groups including planning of the hugely successful Reading 375 anniversary festivities.

Andrea is an employment law attorney; she is a partner with Morgan, Brown and Joy in Boston. Andrea is coming is as a Service Member and has said she is looking to become involved in community service in the town through Rotary.
Gabe is the new branch manager of Salem Five on Walkers Brook Drive. Gabe has already been a regular attendee of lunch meetings and has become involved in our service projects, including making the Food Bank Run and spinning some cotton candy at the Festival of Trees.

Also in attendance and providing support was AG Mary Beth Margolis. During the program, Lisa gave a brief presentation about all the things Reading Rotary does in the community and RI does around the globe. A slide show played on the big screen with highlights from the Club's projects.
