Earlier this month, 17 members of our district, including the entire DG-Track, attended the Rotary International Convention 2022 in Houston, TX. It was an amazing gathering of over 11,000 Rotarians from around the globe and we attended many of the general sessions, quite a few breakout sessions, and some of us also went to the Youth Exchange Officer Pre-Convention that was held two days prior to the main convention.We learned a lot, listened to many inspiring talks, and - most importantly - found connections with Rotarians from all over the world during the various lunch and dinner events.
Our own district hosted a well-attended Tex-Mex dinner on Monday, where we had friends from our surrounding districts attending as well as friends from Austria, Australia, and other countries.
There were many opportunities to meet with Rotary senior leaders and even get the occasional selfie or group photo with them. And we took many group photos with our DG and DGE classmates.
