Planning and training for RYLA 2024 (May 17-19) is well underway. We had two Family Leader Training sessions at our new location at the Stoneham Teen Center. We did lots of team building activities as well as a deeper discussion of our RYLA weekend! We are excited to have such a great group!Family leaders for RYLA are what makes our weekend so special. Some of the answers of this year’s Family Leaders were just so meaningful that I thought I would share them with you so you could see the impact you are having by sponsoring students for RYLA. These kids are AMAZING!
Applications for RYLA 24 will be live early to mid-February, so stayed tuned! In the meantime, we are ready to start visiting clubs to share the new video! “RYLA was the best experience as it made me feel like I have a place in this world and can change it. Coming in from a horrific camp experience the prior summer, I was nervous about how RYLA would be. However, I felt like I fit right in and could speak my mind and do my favorite thing, help others. This has made me more of an effective leader in my school, as I decided to mentor freshmen this year! I can't wait for RYLA 2024 and give kids the same experience I received! I believe that I have strong leadership, taking charge of a situation and making sure everything goes to plan, yet I am also flexible being ready to jump in and help change plans.
