Your contributions make it possible for The Rotary Foundation to offer a variety of grants that help fund local and international humanitarian projects, programs, scholarships, and vocational training teams. Through those, you support peacebuilding and conflict prevention; disease prevention and treatment; water, sanitation, and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; community economic development; and the environment.
The Annual Fund. The Annual Fund-SHARE system pays for much of what the Foundation does. It's the source of funding for global grants and district grants.
When you give to the Annual Fund-SHARE, the donation enters the SHARE system. In this system, donations are divided between the World Fund and District Designated Funds. After three years, your district can use the District Designated Funds to pay for club, district, or Foundation projects. The World Fund is used for grants that further the Foundation's vision worldwide.
