The Swampscott Senior Center approached Swampscott Rotary in early November and asked if we could offer some support so they could send out some meals at Thanksgiving. We donated $300 which was the entire cost of the meals they distributed. Our Holiday fruit baskets go to residents of Nahant and Swampscott who are elderly, alone, housebound or ill. We also gave a number of baskets to the Senior Centers of both towns as well.
This tradition has continued for at least 50 years. This year we distributed over 80 baskets.
