What a wonderful week of celebrations as the Wakefield Rotary Club attended multiple celebrations of our nation's heroes. On Veterans Day, Rotarians Jay Curley (US Army, ret.), Barbara Worley, Joie Gerrish and Jim Fitzgerald attended the town's Veterans Day event and gave tribute to local heroes.The following day, members of the club attended the retirement party for Rotarian Fire Chief Michael Sullivan. The third generation fire professional, Michael retired with over 41 years of service to the town.
Later that week, Barbara, President-Elect Paul Adams, Wendy Maguire, Jay Curley and his wife Annette, and Frank Fiorentino (US Army, ret.) and his wife Mary attended the District's Bob Wood Memorial Heroes' Celebration. The club mominated Wakefield Veteran Servies Director David A. Mangan (US Air Force, ret.) to be recognized.
It was truly a wonderful week of celebrating those who served.
