Where would you go if you could dine anywhere in the world with no limits on how far you travel?
The Wakefield Rotary Club is hosting its fifth chance that offers the winner a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The Dine Anywhere in the World Contest offers one lucky winner and a guest the opportunity to win a trip to any destination in the world of their choosing! The winner will receive round-trip airfare for two, an overnight in a 4-star or better hotel and a gift certificate for dinner to the restaurant of their choosing!
Tickets cost $100.00 each and a limit of 250 tickets will be sold. 10-packs of tickets are offered at a reduced rate of $800.00 and are available to a single entrant, not groups. The winning ticket will be pulled on Tuesday, February 14th at Holiday Travel in Wakefield.
All proceeds will benefit the local and international humanitarian projects of the Wakefield Rotary Club, The Wakefield Food Pantry, and Wakefield Alliance Against Violence, all long-term beneficiaries of Rotary club projects.
Wakefield Club Secretary Suzanne Bowering explained, “You can literally pick anywhere in the world. Past winners have gone to Taiwan, Hawaii, Italy and Grand Cayman.” She added, “I’d pick Budapest if I won.” A quick survey of the Rotary club members at a recent meeting found that other “wishlist” destinations included the Maldives, Australia, Iceland, and Thailand. Bowering added, “The prize is amazing and we hope to raise a lot of money for our upcoming projects and charities.”
