Last week Woburn Rotary and Winchester Rotary joined together to have their annual combined meeting celebrating the Thanksgiving High School football rivalry at the Woburn/Stoneham Lodge of Elks #908. The guest speaker was Doug Carns from the Woburn Tanners 1975 Super Bowl team. Doug spoke about the great rivalry with Winchester and showed film clips of the 1975 Thanksgiving Day football game, courtesy of the Woburn Historical Society. Winchester Rotary’s historian Jack Kean also spoke about one of the longest running rivalries in Massachusetts, 125 years of Woburn and Winchester football!
