Danvers Supports Great Oak School Playground
The Danvers Rotary Club presented a check for $4,000 to the Great Oak School for construction of a new playground area. This playground will replace an older one used by Great Oak  students, neighborhood residents, Town of Danvers Fun Club after school program, and players on the adjacent ball fields. Construction is scheduled for August, 2017.  Shown (left to right) are Neal Waldman and Becky Kilborn, Rotary Trustees, Sharon Burrill, Principal of Great Oak School, and Mary Beth O'Connell, Rotary President.

Marblehead Harbor Supports Local Non-Profits
The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor recently presented checks in the amount of $1,000 to Jen Wassan, Development Director of Windrush Farm and Donna Crotty, Executive Director of Girls Inc. in Lynn, MA.  Both organizations are non-profit and provide valuable services to residents living in the North Shore.  
 
Ms. Wassan, recently made a presentation to club members and described the unique programs offered through the farm which are designed to expand and enrich the lives of children and adults with physical or emotional disabilities through equine assisted activities and therapies.  Windrush Farm, located in North Andover, MA was one of the first therapeutic riding centers in the US.  To learn more about their programs, to volunteer or to donate, please visit www.windrushfarm.org.

Gloucester Sunset Cruise
The Gloucester Rotary Club will host its annual summer social on Tuesday, August 1, with a sunset cruise aboard the Privateer. All Rotarians and friends are welcome! Snacks, finger sandwiches, cash bar and music with DJ Scottie Mac. $25 per person.

Boarding begins at 6:30pm at the 7 Seas Wharf (63 Rogers Street, Rt. 127, Downtown Gloucester). Cruise departs at 7pm, returns to dock at 10pm.

For information & reservations, call 978-884-9999. The boat can handle 150 guests-- last minute walk-ons are welcome! (RSVP in advance if possible to help with headcount.)
Chelsea Club Meetings at New Location
Effective July 11, 2017, the Rotary Club of Chelsea will hold its regular Tuesday luncheon meetings at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Logan Airport Chelsea, 145 Beech Street, Chelsea, MA 02150. Meetings will start at 12:15 PM. Telephone number for the Homewood Suites is (617) 660-9110.

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.
 
The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
