Our 2025 District Learning Assembly takes place Tuesday, April 10, 2025, at Four Points Sheraton, 1 Audubon Road, Wakefield!

Important learning sessions start at 4:30 pm, followed by fellowship, our District Managed Grant Qualification, and a special presentation regarding Rotary's new Action Plan.

The Lynn, Newburyport and Salem Clubs are on pace to net 5 to 12 members by June 30, 2025.

Here are tips from the Lynn, Newburyport and Salem clubs:

1. Select a powerhouse Membership Committee and lead/s! - Individuals who already have a great network of their own- Individuals who naturally love to network and show enthusiasm for their membership in the Club- Individuals who are also willing to nurture and stay in touch with new members upon their admittance to the Club.

2. Set a clear goal of the Membership Committee and keep them focused on it. - Don't sandbag but give an achievable number; ask regularly where we stand against this number and clearly document the prospect list so you do not lose track of your 'prospects' - Stay focused on the very specific activities that will achieve the results needed.

Foundation recognition points are awarded to donors who contribute to The Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund or PolioPlus, or who contribute to sponsorship of a Foundation grant. Donors receive one recognition point for every U.S. dollar contributed to these funds. (Contributions to the Endowment Fund are not eligible.) Donors can transfer Foundation recognition points to others to help them qualify as a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Foundation recognition points belong to the original donor until the donor’s death, unless the points are transferred, or until the donor uses them (the surviving spouse of a Major Donor may also use the points).

What is the difference between recognition amount and available Foundation recognition points?

Recognition amount reflects the total Paul Harris Fellow recognition you have accumulated through your personal contributions plus all recognition points you’ve been given by other individuals, clubs, or districts. Recognition points given to you don’t count toward Major Donor recognition.
 

As its major fundraiser, the Beverly Rotary Club is having BARRY GOUDREAU'S ENGINE ROOM perform at the North Shore Music Theatre on March 29th. Former "Boston" guitarist and his group the Engine Room will be providing music from the group Boston, popular rock covers and some of the group's new music. Once you hear them you will connect and feel the music! They have a following of fans all over New England.
