Rotaplast Mission Named in Memory of PDG Bob Wood
Donna Lee Rubin, PDG 7930 & CEO of Rotaplast International, Inc informed the District that this year's Rotaplast Mission in Cebu City, Phillipines is named in Memory of PDG Bob Wood.

The Mission to Cebu City, Philippines is slated for September 22 through October 5, 2019. This will be the 14th mission sponsored by our District! I am in strong support support of our District's international mission.

My husband Bob was a participant in the 2015, 2016 and 2018 Missions. He participated in the 2015 Mission due to the passion of PDG Bob Wood and also joined the Ipswich Rotary Club due to PDG Bob Wood and this mission. As a speech pathologist, I have personally worked with children with Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate helping them eat and speak. In addition, the 2019-2020 Rotary Presidents voted to support this mission when they met at PETS.

It is our goal to perform 150 surgical procedures, bringing total surgeries sponsored by District 7930 to over 1,250! All medical equipment and supplies are shipped with the team, and the $65,000 mission ($600 per surgery) will be funded by private donations and our district’s Rotary Clubs. We are sending 8 non-medical volunteers.

I hope we can count on your club to help us reach our goal. With your club’s support, we can make a real difference in the lives of children restoring their dignity, and giving them the ability to smile, swallow, eat, breathe and speak more normally.

Checks made payable to Rotaplast, may be sent directly to District 7930, c/o David Boudreau, Institution for Savings, 68 Storey Avenue, Newburyport, MA 01950.
