Beverly Inducts President Linda Turcotte

The club inducted our newest President, Linda Turcotte for our 107th year at an event last week. With big clubs comes big responsibility. Hence the gavel of truth, justice and the Beverly way! Her niece's husband, Anthony Garry, Past President of the Topsfield Boxford Middleton Club did the swearing in. Yes, we are one big, connected family, aren’t we? Linda spoke about her plans for the upcoming year and thanked many along the way for her journey as our President. She is our 6th woman President and we couldn’t be happier. Best of luck President Linda in 2026-2027. Induction was attended by outgoing DG Pooja, Incoming DG Terry and next year's DG Tim.

Linda has instructed her team of minions to revamp the club website, which will happen very soon. Just waiting for transfer of domain names and all that techy talk.

Wakefield Rotary Offers Chance to See Red Sox Up Close

The Wakefield Rotary Club will again be hosting a Red Sox ticket chance at the WCAT Movies by the Lake. Thanks to another generous donation from Wakefield Rotarian Frank Fiorentino and Mahoney, Fiorentino, and Co., PC, raffle participants can win a pair of tickets for the Red Sox versus the Arizona Diamondbacks on the Tuesday, August 18th game at Fenway Park.

Proceeds from the chances will benefit the local and international projects of the Wakefield Rotary Club Foundation. Club President Paul Adams said, “This is a great way to win some great Sox seats and support local causes through Rotary.”

Ticket chances cost twenty-five dollars and the prize includes two seats at Fenway, Box 49, Row H, Seats 1-2, behind the visitor and on-deck circle near home plate. The value of the pair of tickets is about $300. 2024 ticket winner, Amy Luckiewicz said, “The seat location was so close to the action. I’ve never been so close to the field before!”

Tickets are on sale during the Movies by the Lake on the Common. Visit the Rotary table to grab your chance to win. Tickets are also available at Holiday Travel Wakefield (402 Main Street), from any Wakefield Rotarian or online here. You can also Venmo the club @wakefieldrotaryclub. Indicate “Sox” in the memo and provide your contact information. The winning ticket will be pulled at 8:00pm on Thursday, August 6th at the Movies by the Lake event. You do not have to be present to win.

Gathering with a Shared Purpose at Marblehead Rotary

We are incredibly fortunate to live and work in a town with such a beautiful waterfront, and it’s a true joy that our weekly lunches get to take place right on the harbor at the Boston Yacht Club. Every Thursday, it serves as a wonderful, welcoming space where local business owners, neighbors, and the next generation of professionals can easily pull up a chair, talk shop, and collaborate on ways to support Marblehead.

A big part of what makes these lunches so rewarding is learning together. Each week, we invite local speakers who share practical insights on things that matter to both our businesses and our wider community.

A perfect example from our most recent gathering (pictured from right to left):
Andrea Lacroix (our District Environmental and RLI Chair), who gave a fantastic, eye-opening talk on the steps we can all take toward "living beyond plastics."

The Marblehead Rotary meets every Thursday at noon at the BYC, bringing together the local energy and community spirit that makes our town such a special place to do Business.

Share Your Rotary Stories

Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future? Please share your story with us and with your local news and social media networks.

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link. Your club's successes and events can give inspiration to other Rotarians.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition. If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
