Marblehead Honors HS Graduate Christine Sloss
Congratulations to Christine Sloss recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow recognition. Christine was recognized during the Rotary Installation luncheon held on July 25th at the Eastern Yacht Club.

A class leader at Marblehead High, Christine embraced her commitment to community service leadership. She was the President of the Marblehead High School Interact Club. She also worked as a coordinator for all the North America Interact Clubs in a new, joint Rotary and UNICEF program, called the Initiative Interchange. The purpose was to raise money for universal education. This past summer, Christine organized a Rotary service trip to Nepal to help deliver physical therapy to injured survivors of the earthquake that devastated the country in 2015.

Christine exemplifies the guiding principle of Rotary --- “Service above Self” -- the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life. She plans to continue her education in public administration, urban planning, and environmental sustainability
Memorial Gifts to Honor PDG Bob Wood
We have received questions about how individuals and clubs can make memorial gifts in honor of PDG Bob Wood.

Susan Wood has asked that no flowers be sent.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in the name of Robert C. Wood to the Annual Fund/Share Program of the Rotary Foundation. Checks should be sent to Liz Cullen, District Foundation Chair, 283 Wethersfield Street, Rowley, MA  01969. Please note on the check: In memory of DG Bob Wood.

A Celebration of Life will occur at the end of the summer or early fall and details will be forthcoming once known.
