Pints for Polio by Boston #7
Boston Rotary #7 members are taking their fight against polio to Club Cafe during the Pints for Polio 2021 fundraising event set for the month of October.

Pints for Polio is an annual fundraiser that raises money to help in the global fight against polio. For every pint purchased, $1 will be donated to Rotary International’s Polio Plus campaign.

Club Cafe is located at 209 Columbus Avenue in Boston's Back Bay/South End.

Rotary International and its partners launched the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in 1988, at a time when there were 350,000 cases of polio in 125 countries every year. Since then, Rotary has been internationally recognized as a leader in eradicating polio across the globe, and cases have been reduced by 99.9%. Just two countries continue to report cases of wild polio virus — Afghanistan and Pakistan.

A Celebration of our Heroes - Registration is open
Thursday, November 11 will be our annual Rotary Foundation event “A Celebration of Our Heroes” starting at 5:30 PM at the Danversport. The evening will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, and Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) presentations.

All Rotary Club have been invited to nominate a hero from their community to present them with a PHF recognition at the event. Candidates could be doctors, nurses, teachers, crossing guards, emergency services personnel, veterans, or anyone else whom the Rotary Club believes to be a community hero. The online nomination form has been sent to Club Presidents earlier this summer, and the nomination deadline is October 11th.

Registration is now open!

Registration is required for this in-person event. We will be adhering to all current Covid-19 regulations to make sure this is a safe event for all Rotarians. Any person not vaccinated will be required to wear a mask, and you may choose to wear a mask even if you are vaccinated, if you are concerned about gatherings in indoor spaces. As you know, the Danversport facility has a very large ballroom, so we are confident that we can have people spaced out sufficiently to ensure a safe dining experience.
