EndPolioNow at the 2018 Polar Plunge

Come join the party!  Please join Rotarians, Interactors, Rotaractors and friends of our 47 clubs who raise money and plunge in the waters off of Long Beach, Gloucester on February 3rd, 2018.  This event is one of the most personally fulfilling, fun and rewarding events of the year.

Rotary has lead the charge for the past 30 years to eradicate Polio worldwide!  The number of new cases worldwide was 360,000 in the mid 1980’s.  This number has dropped as of December 2017 to 20 cases worldwide. We need one last push to fully eradicate Polio.

Over the past 5 years, our clubs have raised close to $500K towards Polio eradication.  Additionally, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have matched $2 for each $1 we raise in this effort which brings the total to $1.5 million!

We look forward to another strong turnout for our 2018 Polar Plunge.  Please register to plunge or donate to a plunger today!

Rotary Leadership Institute – Discover your passion in Rotary
Rotary Leadership Institute is a leadership development program that combines facilitated learning, collaboration and ideas exchange to improve Rotary Clubs and strengthen lives.  Primary topics include leadership, team building, planning, market-ing, communication and organization.  The program is enriched through the sharing of experiences and ideas with Rotarians from our District and beyond.

Sessions are highly interactive, with a minimum of lecturing and lots of opportunity to share and experience ideas.  Each session is led by a Rotary leader who has been trained in facilitation techniques that maximize the learning experience.  Most work-shops are limited to 10-15 participants who participate in interactive discussion, role playing and problem solving activities.

Now that the New Year Buzz is Over

How many Rotarians made resolutions for the New Year?

Did any include how you will make Rotary thrive during this year and well into this century?

If not, here is a list of ideas you can use, or create your own! Either way, creating a few action items that increase the impact we can have in the world will fulfill this year's theme - Rotary: Making a Difference!

Rotary may be the best kept secret and those that we care for the most are perfect choices to invite to experience Rotary. Our parents, children, siblings, school friends, colleagues, or anyone who has helped shape your life are perfect to share our work, either as a member or as a friend of Rotary. Give them the Gift of Rotary.

I wish you the best throughout the year!

Share Your Club's Stories
Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future that you would like to share with your fellow District 7930 Rotarians?

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
