Reading's Spirit of Community Giving
Each year, Reading Rotary works with community partners, ReadingCares, the Town of Reading and many community donors coordinate the Adopt-a-Family project for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The Thanksgiving distribution day was November 24.  Receiving families are matched anonymously with donor families or groups to provide meal and gifts at Christmas and meals at Thanksgiving.  Donors drop off at the Town DPW garage in the first shift, then recipient families pick up their food and gifts during a later shift.

Reading Rotary’s efforts were headed by Rotarian Sasha DiPietro.  This is a truly inspirational and humbling event to see the community come together to help others.  The generosity of the donors is overwhelming as evidenced by the many smiling faces as well as some tears of thanks.  Reading Rotary is proud of and grateful for its partners ReadingCares and the Town of Reading in this community giving event.  A huge thank you to all the donor families and groups. Their generosity makes this all possible.

Share Your Rotary Stories
Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future that you would like to share with your fellow District 7930 Rotarians?

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.  Your club's successes and events can give inspiration to other Rotarians.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
