Peabody Rotary Sponsors Race

Haverhill Awards 2017 Scholarship
On Thursday, August 31st, the Haverhill Rotary club had the pleasure of awarding Angela Walukevich with the 2017 Linda Sundell Scholarship. She was joined at the weekly lunch by her Mom Peggy and Linda's brother Paul Rheaume and sister Paula Churchill.

The Linda Sundell Scholarship is near and dear to the clubs’ heart as a past member and board member. Linda touched all who knew her with her positive compassion for people and her joy for life. She exemplified what it means to live a life of meaning that is greater than oneself, and she always encouraged the best in others.

Burlington Breakfast Donates Auction Proceeds
The Burlington Breakfast Rotary Club distributed the proceeds from its recent Champagne Art Auction to four charities-- Burlington Police Patrolman's Association, People Helping People, Burlington Relay for Life, and HelpIs-- at its August 24 meeting. This was the club's first Champagne Art Auction and sold 110 tickets. The next auction will be held in a larger venue in the spring.

Hot Dogs & Beer!
The Newburyport Rotary Club held its annual Beer and Dogs fundraiser during the Yankee Homecoming Bed race down Federal Street. The event was held on the parking lot of the Tannery Marketplace owned by Rotarian David Hall, who banned parking in his lot and cordoned off the area for our fundraiser. The hot dogs were donated by Tendercrop Farm of Newbury. Tables and chairs were set up by Rotarian Kate Kelly of Kelly Taylor Rental. A total of $1,600 was raised as a result of the event. Lots of fun was had by all!
Share Your Club's Stories
Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future that you would like to share with your fellow District 7930 Rotarians?

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
