District Committees Need Your Help
Our District Committees need volunteers.  Please consider participating in one of these Committees.  Many hands make light work.  These Committees usually meet once a month over Zoom.  It is a great way to learn more about Rotary beyond your club.  You can enhance your skills and learn best practices.  Use your Rotary experience and enthusiasm to help other Rotarians.

If you're a seasoned Rotarian or a newer member, we can use your participation.

Please reach out to DGE Pooja Singla or to these Committee Chairs with interest or questions.

Foundation Chair Alexander Falk

All are welcome to participate in these Committees.  Thank you in advance.
Make Your Annual Fund Contribution Before June 30
Have you made your contribution to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund-SHARE this year?

Your gift to the Annual Fund helps Rotary clubs take action today to create positive change in communities at home and around the world. Your contributions help us strengthen peace efforts, provide clean water and sanitation, support education, grow local economies, save mothers and children, and fight disease.

The Every Rotarian Every Year initiative asks every Rotarian to support The Rotary Foundation every year.

At the end of every Rotary year, contributions directed to the Annual Fund-SHARE from all Rotary clubs in the district are divided between the World Fund and the District Designated Fund, or DDF.  At the end of three years, DDF come back to our District to pay for Foundation, Club, and District projects that your Club and others in the district choose. Districts may use up to half of their DDF to fund district grants. The remaining DDF may be used for global grants or donated to PolioPlus, the Rotary Peace Centers, or another district.

For additional information visit our Annual Fund-SHARE page and our Foundation page.  Download the new Rotary Foundation Annual Fund Resource.  To make your Annual Fund-SHARE contribution online, click here.

Arlington's Flags for Heroes
Flags for Heroes is a program designed to honor individuals who have made significant contributions as heroes. These heroes may include military personnel, first responders, parents, teachers, coaches, mentors, community leaders, or others who have shown dedication and service.

You may sponsor up to two individuals on a flag. The flags will be displayed at Park Circle on Park Avenue from May 22nd through June 16th. This year, the Rotary Club of Arlington will honor the memory of Dan Brosnan, Will St. Martin and Ed Woods, three community heroes who dedicated vast personal time to supporting the youth of Arlington. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 1st, at 1:00 pm.

Meet Roger, Partially Funded by District Grant
The Arlington Police Department is thrilled to introduce the latest member of their team.
Roger has already become a beloved member of the department. His presence at the station brings joy, as everyone is eager to hold him, pet him, and spend a few moments with him. His arrival instantly brings smiles to our faces.

It's often said that dogs can greatly reduce stress, anxiety, and tension, and Roger has proven this to be true in his short time at APD!

Arlington Rotary Club and a matching grant from Rotary District 7930 funded Roger's acquisition and training.
