Reasons to Attend Learning Assembly
The first key reason for attending the District Learning Assembly (April 22, 5-9 pm) is the District grants qualification seminar, which trains Clubs on applying for in utilizing District managed grants in their communities and global grants throughout the world. Attendance by two Club members at the seminar automatically qualifies your Club.

Another reason to attend is to approve the District budget for the coming year and confirm the 2024-2025 budget as required by Rotary International regulations.

It provides motivation, networking opportunities and specialized training to strengthen Club administration, service projects, membership and annual grant qualification.

Disease Prevention and Treatment
Good morning District 7930 Rotarians:

Disease Prevention and Treatment is one of the focus areas of Rotary International.
With the approval of our President and President Elect and the support of District Governor Pooja Singla I was appointed "Director, Disease Prevention and Treatment" at the Rotary Club of Peabody.  I would like to extend this initiative to the entire district and inviting interested Rotarians to participate.

If you are interested in helping establish and joining please email me at steve_fine@comcast.net without obligation. I anticipate meetings would be held via Zoom during weekday evenings.

Thank you!
Burlington Council on Aging Senior Prom
The Rotary Club of Burlington and the Burlington High School Interact Club participated in the 9th annual Council on Aging Prom. The students put on their dancing shoes and join in the fun with the seniors. It is a great event and a wonderful opportunity to connect with others in the community.

Ipswich-Rowley Rotarians Battle Growing Food Insecurity
Again this year, Ipswich-Rowley Rotary received strong community support for our annual ‘February Food Drive’. According to Chris Davis, Ipswich-Rowley Rotary food drive organizer, “Our total donation was 1645 pounds of food to benefit ‘The Open Door – Ipswich Community Food Pantry’. We exceeded our expectations and increased this year’s donations by several hundred pounds.”

Julie LaFontaine, Open Door President and CEO, expressed it best. “With the cost-of-living outpacing many budgets, food drives like this one play a critical role in keeping our shelves stocked and our neighbors fed during the winter months. Our hats are off to Ipswich Rowley Rotary for demonstrating what ‘service above self’ looks like in action."
