It's time to celebrate new Club and District leadership. Please join us on June 25, from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at Danversport, 161 Elliott Street, Danvers MA 01923.

Celebrate the New Rotary Year with party hats, decorations and party clothes!!!!

Registration closes soon.

Clubs are encouraged to cancel their meeting this week and attend to support your incoming President.

We are looking forward to a night of fun and great Rotary fellowship.

Don't miss the opportunity to make your final Annual Fund contribution this year before FY year end. Every Rotarian, please make your contribution to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund-SHARE by June 30.

Your gift to the Annual Fund helps Rotary clubs take action today to create positive change in communities at home and around the world. Your contributions help us strengthen peace efforts, provide clean water and sanitation, support education, grow local economies, save mothers and children, and fight disease.

Newburyport Awards $15,000 in Scholarships

We could not have asked for better weather for our second meeting at The Deck! Full meeting, happy dollars galore and one of our best meetings of the year as we gave out $15,000 in high school scholarships!

Our 3 scholarship recipients each received a $5,000 check. They were: Sydney Champagne, from Triton who will be attending UCONN and is pre-med. She received the George A. Cashman Scholarship. Calleigh Curran from Newburyport, also received the Cashman Scholarship and will be attending Fordham and is a communications major. Gref D’Ambrosio, recipient of the Norman H. Russell Memorial Scholarship will be attending UMASS Amherst and majoring in Finance. Congratulations to all!

5th Graders Explore Wetlands Thanks to District Grant

Thanks to our District 7930 grant to Ipswich-Rowley Rotary, two 5th grade classes at Pine Grove Elementary School, Rowley each spent a day at a local wetland pond that forms the headwaters of the Mill River watershed. CLICK HERE to view the Interactive Story.

Using the lens of three keystone species - beavers, cattails, and dragonflies, students built a greater understanding of this ecosystem and how it benefited both wildlife and humans throughout the town’s long history.

Rotarians then assisted in a water quality study of the Mill River watershed, helping students answer the question, "How do scientists measure the water quality of our local wetlands and rivers?"

Ipswich-Rowley Rotarian Ann Witzig then created a classroom inquiry to answer this questions, using both the collected data, GIS maps, water samples, and the professional water quality meters shared by the Parker River Clean Water Association.
