Ipswich Interact Leadership Training
A shout out to an incredible group of teenagers. Last weekend, the Ipswich Interact Board of Directors attended their annual leadership training weekend. Friday afternoon we headed up to Glenn Falls Campground in Lee, NH. Nearly half of them had not been camping before, and yet an hour after we arrived, tents were up, 20’ pop up was set and air mattresses were inflated.

The goal of this weekend is to prepare as a team for the upcoming year. The outcome is to pull the team together with a better awareness of the skills they will need for their leadership as well as setting their goals and events for the year.

It has become one of my favorite weekends of the year, and watching them pull together as a team, become friends and discover awareness of how they can grow and become better leaders is purely inspirational. From the question games around the campfire to the scavenger hunt that covers the entire campground to Alana‘s closing session where she led them in an exercise that focuses on achieving the RI presidential award for Interact this year-every moment was full of purpose and energy.

Club Excellence Award
The Lawrence Rotary Club received exciting news yesterday, and as secretary of the club I'd like to share it with other clubs in the District. As you may well know, Rotary International in Chicago gives out a few awards every year for Club excellence in community service. I am pleased to announce that the Lawrence Rotary Club received this award for its efforts in 2025-2026. Please see award attached.

Something to be proud of, and momentum we hope will carry forward!
Social Responsibility Award
The Beverly Rotary Club was recognized by the Greater Beverly YMCA with a Social Responsibility Award. A breakfast meeting last week at the Mission Boathouse, the club had plenty of members in attendance to accept with gratitude the honor.

It's always great to be recognized by others in community, and we have partnered with the YMCA on numerous projects over the years to help the welfare of youth and adults for a better life. We always knew we do good things, now the community knows it as well. We will cherish this blueish sail like award suitable for display on our award shelf.

President Linda Turcotte 2026-27 accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Marblehead Rotary  Fills The Summer Hunger Gap
Linda Sullivan leads the charge for our August Food Drive, making sure our local Food Pantry shelves stay stocked.
Every August, Marblehead Rotary directs its energy toward a pressing local challenge: summer food insecurity. With school meal programs on pause and living costs high, many local families face extra strain, leaving community food pantries working overtime to keep up with demand.

To support our neighbors, Marblehead Rotarians have committed the month to a targeted Food Pantry Drive. Spearheaded annually by Rotarian Linda Sullivan, club members—including volunteers Alison Richards, and Peter Speziale—are out in the community purchasing and delivering high-need groceries and household essentials.

Working side-by-side with Marblehead Food Pantry, our team is making sure the pantry floor stays stocked with the specific items families need most right now. It’s a proud hands-on effort and a great example of Service Above Self making a direct, local impact.
Share Your Rotary Stories
Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future?  Please share your story with us and with your local news and social media networks.

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.  Your club's successes and events can give inspiration to other Rotarians.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
